The quipos Enabler core delivers all the basic functionality of the quipos Enabler that you need for professional mobile solutions: system security, performance and all-embracing management of quipos One handhelds and quipps. All in a compact package with a central web-based console for all management tasks.

The quipos Enabler runs on standard hardware, wherever and however you want. Just one prerequisite: a VM-Ware virtual environment on which to run the virtual machine delivered by quipos.

The management console of the quipos Enabler runs through every standard browser.

Every operator of a quipos Enabler can allow multiple other providers to run their solutions on that quipos Enabler. Simply allocate 3rd party certificates or ‘dock licenses’.

Each backend system that the quipos Enabler links to via a connector has a private dock. Thus, quipos ensures that the different service applications do not affect each other and the information is secure, even if several providers are working in parallel on one quipos Enabler.

The quipos Enabler offers a variety of interfaces for rapid and easy connection to back-end systems in the quipos SDK.

It is easy to create a connector: choose between, for example, web services, SOAP, XML, TXT, HTML and SQL. If you wish, you can use the code samples available in the quipos SDK. Further information is available in the quipos solutions studio.

Enabler Extensions give you the freedom to grow selectively. For example, use your quipos Enabler in large enterprise applications for load balancing and cascading.

Redundancy:

For added security, use the quipos Redundancy Extension to keep your important operational data on two quipos Enablers. The servers have a fully-automated and intelligent synchronization logic. If one server fails – for example, because of a power failure – a remote, redundant quipos Enabler would take over smoothly,  without any data loss.

In this way, a permanent 24-hour operation can be supported, even if a hardware defect occurs or routine maintenance interrupts the main server’s normal operation.

Load balancing:

The quipos Enabler load balancing extension is the right solution for anyone who wants to ensure top performance within large or complex locations. As well as being completely scalable, the quipos Enabler network fully-automatically balances the load of the quipos One handhelds.  You benefit from the integrated 100% redundancy for total reliability.

Load balancing can be used in any tier of the hierarchy.

Configuration is as easy and as efficient as you would expect from quipos. Simply select the quipos Enabler you want to be supported in the quipos management console and you’re done! The rest is completed automatically by the built-in quipos Enabler intelligence.

Cascading:

The cascading of quipos Enablers provides simplified management of distributed solutions. When you use cascading a “super Enabler” controls as many “sub-Enablers” as required. Central standards can be set with a simple mouse click and, with grouped data, you can keep track of and manage different applications easily.

Hierarchies can be implemented as easily as quipos enables you to implement redundancy or load balancing, integrated quipos Enabler intelligence supports the Administrator extensively.

Enterprise SQL extension:

Would you like to use quipos Enabler but still use your Enterprise level relational database. With the Enterprise-SQL extension you can do exactly that. It supports databases from Oracle and Microsoft.
